Fortune Kids & Little Heroes - Dramathon, Oct 2025
Donation protected
We are Scott McWhinney and Rory Ingham, and we are running the Dramathon on 18th October 2025, a marathon distance trail run in Speyside Way, Scotland. We are running in aid of Fortune Kids and Little Heroes, two charities very important to us, and we would be extremely grateful for your support for these great causes.
Fortune Kids is a wonderful charity specifically funding an orphanage in Urusha-Tanzania, and also supporting the local community. They support their children with housing, food, education, local health services. McWhinney’s Sausages previously sponsored the Kilimanjaro Challenge in support of Fortune Kids which saw industry heavyweights Alan Hanna and Malachy Mallon travel to the orphanage. We are proud to be able to continue support with this marathon. Fortune Kids do amazing work improving the lives and opportunities of children who otherwise do not have the support that many others take for granted. More info is available in the charity at https://fortunekids.org/about-us/
Little Heroes is the official charity for the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children (RBHSC) and is dedicated to supporting the children treated at the hospital, and their families. This is through equipment for the hospital, therapy for the children, support for parents and more. Rory’s youngest child stopped breathing at under 1 month old, and required mechanical ventilation for 3 days in the paediatric ICU in RBHSC, without which she would not have survived. The ability to support the PICU, that they can continue to save the lives of children and keep families together is an amazing opportunity. More information is available at https://littleheroesni.org/what-we-do/
Funds raised through this fundraiser will
be donated evenly between the 2 named charities, with instruction that the funds going to Little Heroes be directed to PICU.
Thank you so much for reading our story, and for your support
