Help Olivia Reunite With Her Son

Hi, my name is Samantha, and I’m creating this campaign for Olivia - one of the most extraordinary people I know.

 

I’ve known Olivia for over 20 years. She is the most profoundly loving and thoughtful person. If you know Olivia, you know that she is an exceptional mom. The care she has given her son has been a guidepost for me in my own motherhood journey. For the past several years, she has brought the same dedication to motherhood that she brings to all her endeavors - including steadfast commitment, unmatched intelligence, and pure love. The result is a happy, oh-so-smart, and loving young son.

 

On October 30th, 2021, Olivia's husband carried out a plan to initiate divorce proceedings in an unimaginable way. This plan demolished nearly every aspect of Olivia's life in a single day. Since that Saturday in October, she has been unable to access her home or the majority of her finances. She has lost the ability to work in the field in which she has expertise. And, most importantly, she was not able to see or contact her son for nearly a month. Now they’re able to see one another a few hours each week.

 

Olivia is, without a doubt, a deserving, fully capable, and loving mother. It is my sincere hope that she and her son are reunited with the greatest of speed.

 

Olivia and her husband had spoken multiple times in the past couple of years about separating, and on those occasions, Olivia suggested they pursue a collaborative divorce and then live near one another so their son could see both his mom and dad every day. Then this happened, and Olivia was blindsided.

 

For a young child to have his mother suddenly and forcibly taken from his life without warning, and for him to be unable to see or contact her, is a profound and life-altering trauma that no child should experience.

 

I'm sure you can imagine what a living nightmare this situation is. To be separated from your child, to not be allowed to know how they're doing -- that silence is unbearable and cruel, and for the sake of Olivia and especially for the sake of her child, it has to end.

 

True to her nature, Olivia has tirelessly worked to create the best situation for everyone involved. Her family has already spent a significant amount on attorney fees, and the process is just getting started.

 

We need to gather the biggest community we can to bring this boy and his mom back together.

1. Donate. This GoFundMe is for legal costs and living expenses so that Olivia can mount a powerful defense and also manage to eat and put gas in her car while doing so. No amount is too big or too small.

 

2. Please say a prayer for Olivia's son. Please pray for his physical safety and his emotional well-being. If you belong to an organization that has a prayer list, please add Olivia and her son to it. If you don't pray, please send love and good thoughts in their direction. Every action aimed at the reunification of Olivia and her son and the safety and well-being of everyone involved is greatly appreciated.
