ForgetMeNot Memory Marathon
The Maiden Castle House Team are walking a challenging 26 miles to raise awareness of dementia and money for the Alzheimer’s Society, from Charmouth to Weymouth on Sunday 22nd September 2024.
We know how challenging it can be for our residents and their loved ones even before an official diagnosis is made. The Alzheimer’s Society supports everyone along every step of the way but only with the invaluable charitable funding that they receive.
Our slogan of ‘I’m still here even though I live with dementia’ is a reminder to us all that whatever diagnosis is received, they’re still here with us.
Please dig deep to sponsor our team as this is a very hilly marathon to walk and we need all the support that we can get!
More information about Alzheimer's Society: At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research. One in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. We don’t want anyone to face the realities of dementia alone. That’s why your support is vital.
