"Uncle Rick" Varga

Friends that have become family got together to try and help our dear friend Rick Varga also known as "Uncle Rick".

Late last fall uncle Rick went to get a back x-ray....as it turned out it was a tumor on the back of his lung that was causing his pain. After months of testing and waiting to get results he came to me last Tuesday. He has stage 4 and is terminal. He has decided against treatment as he "wants to spend as much time with his loved ones as he can”.

Months ago I knew something needed to be started to help him and his best friend Noon, the love of his life.

They have been together for almost 25 years which is almost a 1/3 of his life.

If you have had the pleasure of knowing these two precious souls the love they have for each other is undeniable...the truest love most people can only dream of and spend their lives looking for. Some spend a lifetime only dreaming of.

So how do you convince a dear friend that has only ever helped others and would never ask for help for himself to ask friends, family and the community for help is this time of need? We want to help by asking family, friends, and the community for help also.

When I asked him what he wants this to say without hesitation he said "I need to know Noon will be alright. She needs to be able to stay at our home for the winter before having to move. She needs help now as I have to go and can't take care of her for much longer".

So that is the goal of this GoFundMe. To raise money so she can pay for their home throughout the winter and hopefully beyond. Also any help with meals, cleaning, care, and support is muchly appreciated by Uncle Rick and the family. They need the rest of their time together to be filled with as much love as possible. I don't want them to have to worry about bills for the rest of his days.

We will update the GoFundMe as we receive updates.

Alternatively Uncle Rick will be accepting gift cards, cash and any help offered to assist them over the next few months. Also to help him go with as much love as possible and in peace knowing that his best friend, Noon, will be well taking care of and OK.

As that is his final wish
