Our dear friends and neighbors, Michael and Ashley, experienced the unimaginable early this morning — the sudden and heartbreaking loss of their little baby boy, Kai. There are no words that can fully express the depth of this tragedy.

Kai was deeply loved by his parents Michael and Ashley, his big sister Navaeh, his little brother “Little Man,” his Meemaw and Peepaw, his Aunt Jasmyn, uncles, and a wide circle of extended family and friends. His passing has shaken their world to its core. While nothing can ease the weight of their grief, we hope to surround them with love, comfort, and support in the days ahead.

As they begin to navigate life without their precious baby, we are raising funds to help relieve some of the financial stress that comes with such an unexpected tragedy — from memorial and funeral expenses to essential living costs. Michael may need extended time away from work to grieve and care for his family, and we want to make sure they have the space to mourn without added financial pressure.
