Pittonkatonk is a free, community-world music festival rooted in joy, justice, sustainability, and access. From the very beginning, we made a promise: we would continue the festival as long as we could do it responsibly and without going into debt.
Over the years, Pittonkatonk has grown and with that growth, the real costs of producing a safe, accessible, and high-quality public festival have grown too.
This year, we’re facing a new challenge.
Due to economic uncertainty and shifting priorities among several of our longtime philanthropic partners, a significant portion of our usual funding is not available. While we remain deeply grateful for the support we’ve received over the years, this shift has created a substantial funding gap that we must close in order to move forward with the festival in 2026.
Our Goal: $15,000
We’re setting our 2026 fundraising goal at $15,000. We know times are hard for many people, and asking for support is never something we take lightly. This goal reflects the minimum funding needed to ensure that Pittonkatonk can continue in the way our community knows and loves.
What Your Support Helps Cover
Producing a free public festival means covering essential costs, including:
Staging, sound, and lighting
Artist fees, stipends, and accommodations
Permits, insurance, and security
Porta potties and site infrastructure
Accessibility, safety, and production needs
All the behind-the-scenes costs that make the event possible
These are not extras — they are the foundation of a safe, welcoming, and professional festival.
Our Commitment to Sustainability
Even as budgets tighten, our values remain firm. For the past several years, Pittonkatonk has:
Reduced landfill waste by more than 85%
Used biodiesel and solar power
And in 2025, became a 100% renewable-energy-powered festival, thanks to our partnership with Zero Fossil
These choices matter to us, even when they are not the cheapest options.
Why This Matters
Pittonkatonk exists because of community. For years, people have volunteered countless hours, donated money, shared equipment, and offered resources to keep the festival free, safe, inclusive, and sustainable.
This GoFundMe is a way for those who can contribute — even in small amounts — to help ensure that Pittonkatonk remains:
Free and accessible to all
Family-friendly and community-centered
Artist-forward and justice-driven
Environmentally responsible
Looking Ahead
Right now, our focus is making the 2026 festival happen responsibly. Whether we can continue beyond that will depend on how this year unfolds — and we’ll cross that bridge together after the festival.
If Pittonkatonk has ever brought you joy, connection, inspiration, or a sense of belonging — or if you believe in accessible arts, sustainability, and community — we invite you to support this campaign.
If you’re able to give, thank you.
If you’re able to share, thank you.
And no matter what, thank you for being part of this community.
