My daughter, Carlee and her husband Dan, lost their baby girl; Cora June. It was a rough pregnancy, but we were all hopeful. We marveled at every image and video of her as she grew. She made it to 24 weeks, which gave Cora a fighting chance, but she was too ill to survive. We are all shattered.
Through this tragedy, we would love to finally send them off on a healing honeymoon, as they were unable to take one after they married in October. In addition, to help support their family, the cremation, and any costs associated.
Grieving a lost infant is such a strange experience, with no social norms. Not a single one of us makes it through without wishing they got a do-over. Grace. Gratefulness. Compassion. That’s all any of us can do.
Hoping this will start the healing process, and give this young family a warm collective hug to help them get through this tragic loss.
Thank you so very much,
Pattie, one of the grieving grand parents.
