Tamer bravely shared his story about his beautiful six year old daughter, Eve, who has been diagnosed with the deadliest form of childhood cancer - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), in March this year to raise awareness about Children’s Cancer Awareness Month.

Currently there is no cure for DIPG and the disease leaves children (and their families) devastated with on average, a 9 - 11 month mortality rate. The only form of treatment for this type of cancer is palliative radiation.

Some of Tamer’s colleagues have come up with the idea to run the City to Surf - a 14km virtual run this year which you can take part in from Sunday 17th October to Sunday 24th October 2021 and raise some funds for Tamer and his family. If anyone would like to join us in running, entry remains open until 12pm October 24th.
