There is no doubt that the Victorian healthcare/ hospital system is under pressure and are or have been overworked/ overwhelmed ( especially since Covid); with nurses, doctors and emergency responders working without the monetary benefits, leave, respect and honor they deserve. However, when one goes into a scheduled, life threatening surgery (with multiple months in planning), no one expects the loss of oxygen to occur to ones brain for 7 minutes through trusted professionals. Whether this was a default in the surgical team, or a mechanical fault, our family will never been the same. Damage has occured and hearts have been broken, with a family of four missing the 'father' and 'partner' they know.

Whilst, they have been doing an amazing job to accommodate all needs, this cannot last forever. I hope to gain some financial support to help my family members within basic needs.
