For Our Mercedita

Our wonderful colleague and dear friend Mercedita has sadly passed away. She died very suddenly and it has been such a shock for her family, friends and colleagues.

Mercedita has worked for the royal free hospital for 22 years, 20 of those years have been working in Oncology, from the ward setting to the chemo unit. She works tirelessly to provide the best patient care. She is a wonderful colleague and person. As a colleague, she was a pleasure to work with, a kind and caring soul that always brought a positive energy and laughter to your day. For patients she always provided the best standard of care and used her vast experience and knowledge to not just provide the best care but to also teach and guide newer members of staff starting off in their career.

Merce was always the first person to help, start a collection or just to be there for anyone in hard times.

It’s now our turn to help her family in her time of need.

Merce has 3 children who she always worked so incredibly hard to provide for. We are trying to do whatever we can to support her family at such a difficult time.

Her friends would like to honor her legacy by supporting the wish of her family for repatriating her body to the Philippines.

Therefore we have set up this page to help in conveying the cost accosiated with this and to provide assistance to her loved ones during this time. her Children will be setting up a new life in the Philippines and we hope this will help to set them up & contribute towards paying for their education.
