For My Stepdaughters

Tuesday, I unexpectedly lost my husband and the love of my life José Compean. Two days after we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. We were looking to buy a house and start trying for a baby. I'm in unbelievable pain and devastated beyond belief. He was the best man I'd ever met and the best person I knew. My favorite person.

He was a good man. He was an amazing father, son, brother, friend and the best husband I could have ever asked for.

Many of you have already been aware of our tragedy and have been reaching out to my friends and family and even me wondering how you can support us during this very difficult time.

He has three daughters, two of which are still in high school and we are asking anyone wishing to honor his memory to donate to his daughters Mariah and Natalia for their bright and beautiful futures. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please use this as a way to honor the life of my husband. From our family, we thank everyone that has reached out to us during this difficult time.
