Lets help my dear friend: Roxana & her Family

Hello, my name is Magdalena and I'm going to tell you a little about my best friend whom I care for like a sister and just went through some horrible tragic together with her family.

I've known Roxana for 23 years. We first met while working at a Mexican Market. She was a cashier, and I was a bagger. I was there for her when she separated from her husband 22 years ago. She's been alone and raising her four children alone since. I remember she lived in duplex apartments for many years. But 10 years she finally bought her own mobile home for herself and her children. That was the happiest moment that ever happened to her in such long time. She was so proud of herself.
Roxana's a hard-working lady, always looking for ways to educate herself. When I met her, she was taking an English class. Currently she was taking a course for real-estate, in English. Still working on this. I asked her one day, why don't you take it in Spanish to understand it better, Roxana responded, because I want to help everyone not just Spanish speakers. I want to challenge myself too. She then took a typing class and so on.

Roxana has been working as a waitress for many years, at the same restaurant. She always said she lived off of tips. She's great at it. Always working full time until some new manager arrived last year around October and started cutting her hours due to Roxana defending her co-workers from that manager who mistreated her employees. Roxana's hours went from full time to less than 15 hrs. weekly. Again, keep in mind that waitresses make their money on tips than the hourly wage. In this case, Roxana complaint about her hours to that same manager and the manager fired her. She stopped working around December and somehow still managed to pay her bills and keep moving forward.

Thankfully Roxana found a new job locally by her house like two months ago. But now she's making half less than what she used to make in the past. But again, still managing. She just doesn't give up.

This past Saturday, while Roxana was at work, her oldest son was at home baking cookies with her 6-year-old daughter and grandkids. Her son Alex called her terrified that the oven was on fire and couldn't put the fire down. Roxana told her son to don't worry about the fire and to immediately take everyone out of the house and to call 911. Roxana left work immediately and got home within 10-15 minutes after talking to her son. By the time she arrived home, there was nothing else of it. The house had burnt down completely.

With this said, thankfully everyone is safe with no harm done. Of course this is what matters the most. But I cannot imagine my place burning up. She worked so hard for her trailer home; She basically has to start from zero again. Emotionally, she's tough, she's a proud woman. I believe she hides her pain because she is the only provider at her home. Always helping everyone else and never asking help for her.

The property manager is giving Roxana one week to empty out the space where her trailer was at. How is she gonna do this? This is where your donations will go to. It costs over $6K to find a company to come clean up everything with big trucks and/or machines to take what ever is left of this trailer house. It’s tough but not impossible.

I know there’s a lot of people with big heart ms out there. We will help Roxana get through this together

I love this lady like one of my own sisters, I always tell her, "She may not be my blood sister, but she is my sister by heart."

Today I am asking for your support to help Roxana and her family get back up on her two feet. They have lost their clothes, furniture, and all of their belongings.
She's a tough mama, but at some point, we all need a little help. And this time, I know it's time to help her and her family.

I kindly ask to please share this link with your closest friends and family. Every little bit is a lot of help.

From the bottom of mine and Roxana’s heart, we thank you in advance for your support. Anything helps, because every little bit is a lot♥️ May God shower you with blessings

With much Love and Sincere,
Magdalena
