Hello everyone,

My name is mikko malabanan I’m from the Philippines, currently working here in Canada to support my family back home. I never imagined I would face something this painful — my young daughter is now in the hospital fighting for her life.

She has been diagnosed with acquired pneumonia, high-risk epilepsy, and cerebral palsy (quadriplegic spastic type). Every day is a struggle for her — she needs constant care, medication, and therapy. Watching her go through this while I’m thousands of miles away is the hardest thing I’ve ever experienced as a parent.

I came to Canada to work so I could provide a better future for my family, but now I’m struggling to even cover her medical expenses and the cost to fly home to be with her. I want nothing more than to hold her hand, comfort her, and support her through her recovery — but financially, I can’t do it alone.
