We're here to ask for your prayers and assistance - in whatever way you can - for Carole and Marc Jobin and their children, as they care for their newborn baby, Marie-Ange, at the Hospital for Sick Children (Sick Kids) in Toronto.
Marie-Ange was born on September 12th, 2018 after a catastrophic delivery. Prior to the birth, Marie-Ange was in breech position with one foot down. While Carole's OB successfully “flipped” the baby prior to the birth, Carole suffered a rupture of the uterine cavity during labour.
Marie-Ange was delivered by emergency C-section in Peterborough, with a short period of delay due to difficulties with anaesthesia. Carole suffered shock from blood loss and remained in intensive care, while Marie-Ange was flown to Sick Kids with serious complications due to lack of oxygen. She remains in the NICU at Sick Kids, intubated and on a ventilator. Her EEG has slowly improved from grade 4 (degree of depression) to grade 3 (more waves), but she continues to be dependent on the ventilator and thus far, there has been little sign of improvement in her condition. Carole has been discharged from hospital, but is still weak and in the process of recovery. She and her husband Marc remain at Marie-Ange's bedside.
Your financial support lightens the parents' burden as they stay with Marie-Ange in hospital, arrange to bring Marie-Ange's eight brothers and sisters from rural Ontario to visit her, and work on a plan for the coming days with their daughter.
Marie-Ange needs a miracle. Please pray for her complete healing and recovery, and get in touch with us if you can assist in any way.
