Ayudemos a Mariana en su batalla más difícil

Con todo el amor del mundo, hoy queremos levantar una red de apoyo para Mariana, una mujer de Dios, de corazón generoso y fuerza admirable, que enfrenta el mayor reto de su vida: una batalla contra un agresivo cáncer llamado rabdomiosarcoma alveolar, que ha invadido áreas delicadas de su rostro, cabeza y cuello, incluyendo el ojo, nervios craneales y huesos del cráneo.

¿Qué está viviendo Mariana?

Este tipo de cáncer es extremadamente raro y agresivo en adultos. Para poder recibir tratamiento especializado, Mariana tuvo que relocalizarse desde Puerto Rico hasta Florida, donde actualmente está siendo atendida en el Moffitt Cancer Center.

Está recibiendo quimioterapia semanal, y pronto comenzará radioterapia localizada para intentar frenar el avance del tumor, reducir el dolor y darle más calidad de vida.

Aunque su plan médico cubre parte del tratamiento, todos los demás gastos recaen completamente sobre ella y su familia.

¿Por qué pedimos ayuda?

Los gastos en Florida son muy altos, y lamentablemente la estadía, la transportación diaria al hospital, los alimentos, medicamentos auxiliares y necesidades básicas no están cubiertos.

Estos costos han sido abrumadores, y lo último que queremos es que Mariana —en medio de este proceso tan complejo— tenga que preocuparse por lo económico.

❤️ ¿Quién es Mariana?

Mariana es una mujer de fe, que ha vivido para servir a los demás. Siempre disponible, siempre con una palabra de aliento, un plato de comida caliente, una oración lista, una mano extendida.

Es madre, hermana, amiga, y una roca para su familia y comunidad.

Hoy, nos toca a nosotros ser esa roca para ella.

Let’s Support Mariana in Her Hardest Battle

With all the love in the world, we are reaching out to build a support network for Mariana — a woman of God, with a generous heart and admirable strength, who is now facing the greatest challenge of her life: a battle against an aggressive cancer called alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma, which has invaded delicate areas of her face, head, and neck, including her eye, cranial nerves, and skull bones.

What is Mariana going through?

This type of cancer is extremely rare and aggressive in adults. To receive specialized treatment, Mariana had to relocate from Puerto Rico to Florida, where she is currently being treated at Moffitt Cancer Center.

She is undergoing weekly chemotherapy and will soon begin targeted radiation therapy in hopes of slowing the tumor’s progression, reducing her pain, and improving her quality of life.

While her insurance covers part of the treatment, all other expenses fall entirely on her and her family.

Why are we asking for help?

The cost of living in Florida is very high, and unfortunately, housing, daily transportation to the hospital, food, supportive medications, and basic needs are not covered.

These expenses have become overwhelming, and the last thing we want is for Mariana — in the middle of such a complex and exhausting process — to worry about finances.
