On Monday, February 28th, 2022, at approximately 7:30 P.M., Francisco Javier Badilla tragically passed away from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash. Javier is survived by his girlfriend, Yanely and his ten-month-old daughter, Sophia. The details surrounding Javier’s passing are still being investigated by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paterson Police Department.

 

Recently, Javier and his family moved from the Bronx to Garfiled because he wanted a safe community to raise Sophia. Javier had plans for them and was willing to work tirelessly to better their future. Javier never thought that his life would end abruptly, and he would never get the chance to become a great provider for Yanely and Sophia.

 

Javier was a devoted son to his mother, Catalina, and sisters Gaby and Alexia. They are heartbroken and devastated over the passing of Javier. His sisters have lost their only brother, and his nieces and nephews will have to grow up without a loving uncle. A mother’s worst nightmare is to bury their son.

 

Before moving to the United States, Javier was born and raised in Costa Rica and always had a loving relationship with his grandparents. Javier wanted his grandparents to meet Sophia and worked extra to make that true.
