Hello, I'm Jess from Oregon. I met Siraj through a close friend while working to support families in Gaza. He’s now the sole provider for his mother and sisters, surviving under siege with no access to work or income. Essentials like food and basic goods now cost 5 to 10 times more than they did before the war, which left us with no choice but to create this fundraiser to support his family.

My name is Siraj, I’m 20 years old, and I’m from Gaza. Before the war, I was a university student living a simple, peaceful life with my family. But everything changed when the war broke out. On the very first day, I lost my cousin. I thought that was the worst pain I would endure, but things only got worse.

On May 11, 2024, my life shattered completely — my father and brothers were killed in an airstrike. From that day on, I have been left completely alone. No family. No support. Just me, trying to survive under the weight of unimaginable loss and constant danger.

I am now struggling every single day to find food, water, and basic necessities in the middle of what feels like a never-ending nightmare. I never imagined I would have to face this much pain and hardship at such a young age — all alone.

This GoFundMe is my only hope to rebuild a small part of my life and survive with dignity. Any help you can offer means more than I could ever put into words.
