There are moments in life that change you forever… moments that break your heart, but also show you the true meaning of love, strength, and compassion.
When first diagnosed, beautiful soul Sister, Hayley took one of the bravest steps I’ve ever witnessed. After her breast cancer diagnosis and the start of treatment, she began losing her hair — something that broke her heart in ways words can’t fully capture. In that moment, I made her a promise: that she wouldn’t have to face it alone. Instead of watching it slowly slip away, we would take control and shave it off.
I couldn’t walk in her shoes or feel what she feels, but I could stand beside her. And I promised to do something that truly scared me — to turn something painful into something positive, and to raise money for a cause that means the world to us all.
So I’m taking that fear to another level… I will be jumping out of a plane to raise money for this incredible cause. Something that truly terrifies me, but feels so small compared to what so many people face every single day and the daily battles that Hayley faces with that beautiful smile still on her face!
St David’s Hospice has been our lifeline. The care, compassion, and strength they have given is beyond words. They’ve created a space filled with warmth and positivity at a time when it’s needed most, and I will be forever grateful.
Last summer they also began to give my beautiful Mum five incredible months of care. They honoured every single one of her wishes and supported me in mine — allowing me to nurse her myself at home, right until the very end. That time is something I will carry with me forever.
I miss my mum more than words could ever say. Not a day goes by where I don’t think of her, wish for one more conversation, one more hug. Everything I do now, I do with her in my heart — trying to make her proud, trying to honour her in the way I live, love, and support others.
I can never truly express how much St David’s has touched our lives. But I can try to give something back.
I’m raising as much money as I can to support this incredible hospice, so other families can have the same care, dignity, and love when it matters most.
If you can donate, share, or support in any way, it would mean everything to me — and to so many others who rely on this amazing place.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping turn love and loss into something that can make a difference ❤️
