For Gunner's mobility van
Donation protected
For any of you that know Gunner, you know that he has 2 passions in this world. Football and WRESTLING. WRESTLING is his #1 priority. He literally eats, sleeps and breathes SPORTS. Most everyone knows Gunner at SE POLK High school but what most dont know about Gunner is his history and life story.
Gunner was born at 30 weeks. He weighed 3'10lbs and dropped to 2'9lbs before roaring back like a champ and being discharged from the hospital at 6 weeks weighing a whopping 5'4lbs. Since then he has become such a fighter. He has overcome almost every obstacle in his short 17 yrs and has turned into such an AWESOME young man.
2 years ago, we started the process to get Gunner a power wheelchair. Everyone knows how smart Gunner is and we wanted to give him the opportunity to be as independent as possible just like other able bodied teenagers. In May, our wish was granted and Gunner received his new chair. What we didnt think ahead to, is how we were going to transport the 450lb chair. We attempted to put a carrier on the back of our SUV but that didnt work for long. We came together as a family and bought a mobility van.
I am putting this fundraiser together as we had to do some "creative" financing to get it and now have a 15k loan that needs to be paid off as soon as we can get the funds to do it. This fundraiser will allow us to take care of that obligation and also to make sure that Gunner will never have to worry about transportation to school, wrestling practice, football games, wrestling matches and anywhere that he chooses to go in the future.
We ask this of you- Our school system SE Polk, our wrestling friends/family and our community, Please assist in making sure that Gunner never has to worry. Gunner has spent most of his life being the best supporter and CHEERLEADER that he can for everyone around him- Please support him with this. We are grateful to anyone that donates or shares this.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!!
