As part of the Flying Seagull Project, we are both committed to going back to Romania this year to heal underserved children in underserved communities through play! And music, and magic, and circus, and laughter. This time for a combined 10 WEEKS! For funs sake...
Last year was amazing - but certainly a rollercoaster that inspired some of the most joyful and integral moments of our 2025. This year's Romania project is going to be a bit different. This time we're going to be in one place, one village, for one week, before packing up the circus camp and moving onto the next. Cinema nights, talent shows, super mega disco, and the opportunity to spend real time and be a relief to these fractured and often tense communities. We're giving agency to laughter and the children's right to a childhood that can be funny, big and small, upside down, and everything silly that it should be. Last year our 3 weeks in Romania reached over 3000 kids and vulnerable adults and the Sensational Circus Caravan Tour went on to reach over 15,000 kids in 2025.
There is an obstacle, however. The Seagulls is a charity, and we volunteers. If we can raise a fund that pays us both just £15 a day for our time, then we can break even. If this fund surpasses £1050, anything over will be donated to the tin'o'fish fund (if you know, you know) and to the Flying Seagull Project. Even just few quid from anyone within our great network will go a long way and contribute to a great cause.
