For Families of Cleveland Clinic Children's

For those who have known me for years, and those who I have just met or even yet to meet, allow me to remind everyone of my campaign purpose. A goal of mine that I have acted on for three holiday seasons.

In 2017 I had emergency open heart surgery at the Cleveland Clinic - quite literally the best cardiac institute in the world. I won't sugar coat things, I cut it close. Real close. However, I made it! After months of wobbling whether I would survive or not, to a horribly painful surgery, to months of physical therapy and learning how to do the basics once again, it was not easy. All this said, this campaign is not about me!

At 19 I spent Thanksgiving, both my parents birthday's, Christmas, and New Years in the hospital. I look back now on how fortunate I was to have survived and to have an amazing support network of family and friends to rely on. Unfortunately, not everyone is that lucky.

This donation campaign is to help bring smiles to the children who may not be as fortunate as myself. I cannot fathom having to explain to a seven-year-old that she won't be able to have a Christmas because they're stuck in the hospital getting scary pokes and procedures. I cannot stomach telling an 11-year-old in the hospital he will have no gifts for Christmas because their family cannot afford them after medical expenses. Here is how we can make sure this doesn't happen.

2017, 2018, and 2019 I have raised a total of $3,000 due to the kindness of your hearts to purchase and deliver toys, books, and other gifts to Cleveland Clinic Children's to help bring a smile to a child in need. With COVID throwing a wrench in gift-giving operations the last two years, it's time to hit back!

I am asking this Fall once again for everyone's help to bring smiles to Children not able to have a real Christmas this year. 100% of money donated will be used to supply gifts to kids in Cleveland Clinic Children's. A dollar, ten, fifty, more? Any amount helps!!

After a year of challenges, fear, and confusion - lets help those who can truly benefit from it. Let's bring smiles, not shots, to Cleveland Clinic Children's for the fourth holiday season.
