I believe we are visitors on this planet, and too often humans have been miserable guests. I feel in my bones that every life form belongs on Earth, and that we must stop treating the world like a resource to be consumed. That conviction is why I am fundraising for Defenders of Wildlife, an organization that for more than 75 years has stood up for imperiled wildlife and the habitats they need to survive.

Defenders of Wildlife fights for species from the smallest pollinators to the largest predators, working across North America to secure protections, restore habitat, and champion science-based policy. Their work matters because when we protect wildlife and wild places, we protect the health of our ecosystems and the future for all beings that share this planet with us.
