For Cystic Fibrosis Ireland: Al & Mum's Army HELL & BACK
Hey! Al here and this is all VERY last minute!
Hell and Back is a 7km run with 6km of obstacles. Like a cross between army training and an adventure course. Apparently it's VERY hard and the obstacles include the Valley of Pain and Satan's Pit. So, that's not great for me. But here we are!
I didn't know any of this when a lady I don't know called Lisa Hand got onto me on Instagram and called my bluff about wanting to do more good things for people. Lisa had a team, Mum's Army. She's injured and asked if I'd put together a team last minute to take their place and raise awareness of CF Ireland (Lisa's grandson Miles has been diagnosed recently).
I knew Julian Benson and I thought, well it's a sign. So I said yes with no idea of what's involved. So here we go. I've put together Mum's Army (we couldn't change name) and despite VERY QUESTIONABLE fitness we're going for it tomorrow at 5am!
We'll have our purple t-shirts on for CF. If you could throw us any change you have it'll justify the horror of it all and raise money for a great cause! More info on CF Ireland below!
God bless. Light a candle for us.
