For Bongo

Our dad was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers at the age of 67 early last year. Within 2 months he went from driving, living alone & working to being in hospital and struggling to recognise his children and complete day to day tasks. There is no history in the family of this condition and the doctors still can't really explain why he has developed this condition, let alone so young & out of no where.

Myself being Scarlett his daughter (23 years old) and his son/ my brother, Alex (18 years old) want to not only raise awareness for what early signs to look for in your parents and other adults in your life, but to also help raise money to hopefully one day have a cure for this disease that so many people struggle with and for the families that have to watch their loved ones go through it.

Please make a donation to support our efforts as we run our first half marathon in August to help beat dementia!

All funds raised will support the work of Dementia Australia to provide vital support services for people living with dementia, their families and carers. These services include counselling, support groups, education and training. As well as supporting their ongoing research into the disease and finding a cure for future generations.

Thank you for your support <3
let’s get running!
