FOR AN URGENT BONE MARROW TRANSPLANT

We are writting with our hearts filled with love and hope and with the urgency of an emergency required.

I would like to present to you my husband Chris Chacon. He is 36 years old, an incredible person, an amazing father figure who adores above all things our beautiful little girl in which is his number one reason to keep fighting for his life.

Chris was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia philadelphia positive. It has been a very hard process with a lot of visits to hospital and with all his treatments, chemotherapy, medications he receives. But after a year of continuous chemotherapies unfortunately the cancer did not go away, it remained. His chances now to continue to live have narrowed down to him have a bone marrow transplant which in our country in El Salvador is not available which is why we are fighting and trying to make the impossible, possible to have the treatment done in another country and although the costs will be around approximately $90,000 USD we hold faith in our hearts and in our loved ones and all who surround them with just $1 or more we can make this happen.

Chris has always loved to help others. When he was a young boy he joined the scouts, he loves to go camping and being outdoors and because of his way of being he was given the opportunity to travel abroad through the scouts with Always helping and learning with what he had. Since he was young he has always been very curious, he always had to know why and how things worked and would never give in and find another way. He doesn't give up easily. He always fights for what he believes in and loves. We have known eachother since we were kids. We were good friends and in our own lives back and forth here and there we found eachother after many years, fell in love, married and now we made our small beautiful family filled with lots of love and dreams. We have a daughter, she is 6 years old in which brought us more love and light into our lives.

But in year 2023 Chris, for a bout a month he had symptoms that were unexplained and days by day would get worse and worse. Later he had proper tests done in which it resulted with the diagnostic of leukemia. I will never forget that day the doctor told him he had leukemia because when we think of cancer or leukemia our thoughts automatically lead us to result of death the news was so shocking and very impacting it was jsut a shock for all of us. Chris wasn't about to give up and since then we have been gathering information and educating ourselves along our path and in that path it has been painfully hard. Chris is giving his all he is fighting day by day to fight this and with over 100 chemotherapy and a year of treatments the cancer still remains. This battle has now lead us to the last and ultimate solution to have a bone marrow transplant. With all the information gathered we now know this procedure could lead him into remission.

This is why we are asking for your help to reach our goal of $90,000. We know it is a very large number but if we can find 90 thousand people with 1 dollar of donation we can reach our goal. We have faith in you who are our only hope and strength for Chris to be able to see our little girl grow even though we are very aware how difficult this will be.

Chris is currently in palliative care while he awaits for the transplant which can only happen if we reach our goal. If the transplant does not happen his life will be over as will mine when I have to tell our daughter she will no longer have her father. He is our rock and our happiness and we ask you all to please help our family because I know unity makes miracles.
