Contrary to popular belief, many people living on the streets desire a better life, but many lack opportunity. My name is John, a Philly Street Photographer (Footsteps thru Philly) and I am fundraising to help support people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia who are going without proper footwear and basic foot protection leading into the Winter months.

For many people in the community, not having socks, sneakers, or shoes is more than just uncomfortable. It can make every step harder and add even more stress to daily life. This fundraiser was created because there is a real need to help people who are without footwear and to offer something practical, immediate, and deeply important.

Shoes are more than things we wear — they’re tools for opportunity. Without proper footwear, it's not just mobility that is limited, but dignity as well. Funds raised will be used to provide socks, sneakers, and shoes to people experiencing homelessness in Philadelphia. A clean pair of socks or a sturdy pair of shoes can bring comfort, dignity, and relief to someone facing difficult circumstances.
