Volunteering Trip to Footprints Family, Kenya

Hi, my name is Annabelle and I am fundraising so that I can visit Footprints Family in Kenya.

I have previously raised money for this charity at school and have decided that I would love to go out there and see the work that they do in person.

Footprints is an amazing charity. Mama Kerry is committed to enhancing the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children and young people in rural Kenya, and doing so under three main regimes of support. You can find out more about Footprints here: https://www.footprintsfamily.com/

This charity means so much to me and holds such a close place in my heart. In 2017, I was involved in a road traffic accident that resulted in the passing of my friend, Holly. At her funeral, we were introduced to the motto of 'Be More Holly' and asked to donate to Footprints.

A year later, at school, I helped to raise money for Footprints through a 'dance-a-thon', involving most of the school. Through this day, and other donations, Footprints was able to expand its learning spaces.

One of those is the Holly Brown Learning For Life Zone, where children and young adults are encouraged to #BeMoreHolly. I am travelling over to Kenya, this August, to see how our fundraising has helped this amazing charity in person, and to raise awareness of how further donations can help!

To encourage you to raise more money, I will be attempting to run at least 500km between February and the day I set off - wish me luck!
