Football Girls Academy in Argentina

I'm creating an all-girls football academy in my hometown of San Rafael, Mendoza and need everyones help!

Since I was a little girl, I would travel during my holidays to visit my family but was also very excited to play futbol with the only girl in town who was obsessed just as much as me. Her name was Pia and her dream was to play on a girl's team as well as compete at a high level. I would share my stories of playing on all-girl club teams in Florida and also having the opportunity to be chosen for ODP (Olympic Development Program) and being a US Youth National player - something completely unheard of in my town and even in my country. I would give her my club team uniforms and ODP tees just to keep her inspired to never let go of her dream. I also called her Pia Hamm!

She has been an inspiration to me and many other girls for years to come for her perseverance and because she freaking made it! Pia played for River Plate then moved on to pro futsal in Italy (where she is still ballin') as well as the Argentina National Team.

I've held her story close to my heart my entire life and now I'm going to give all the girls in my town the opportunity to not only play but focus on development for the next level. They will understand that they can have a career as professional players and have the resources and tools necessary to reach their dreams at my academy! Full circle moment. This is now my dream.
