The Black Girl Relief Fund was created in response to what has been unfolding in the job market. More than 300,000 Black women have lost their jobs in this season, and the impact has been heavy. Sisters, friends, colleagues, mentors, and the women who shape our communities have been carrying the weight of transition while still being expected to push through without a safety net.
This fund exists because that should never be the expectation.
It exists because Black women deserve space to pause, access support, and feel held by a community that sees them and cares about what comes next.
The event is free by intention. The speakers were chosen with care. Every element is designed to honor the reality of rebuilding and the emotional weight that comes with starting over.
Here is how the fund works:
Every dollar raised goes directly to a woman attending the event. It is not meant to solve every challenge. It is meant to give her room to breathe, room to think, and room to take her next step with dignity. The real power is in the follow-through, the connection, and the reminder that she is not navigating this moment alone.
Support matters because this burden was never meant to fall solely on Black women. This fund stands in the gap, offering relief where it is needed most. Anyone who contributes becomes part of the effort to steady someone’s footing, restore belief, and honor the strength of the women who consistently show up for all of us.
Thank you for being part of this work, and for standing with the women who hold so much of our world together.
