Foodbank Walk for Christmas & Beyond
Hello, my name is Luna and I am 11 years old.
I have decided to take on another challenge to support Bristol North West Foodbank. They are giving out more than what is coming in so, I want to help raise some money for Christmas and Beyond.
The Foodbank has 5 outlets and I will be walking between each one dressed as Buzz Lightyear.
My walking dates:
29th October: Severn Beach (Emmaus Church) - Henbury (Emmanuel Chapel)
30th October: Henbury (Emmanuel Chapel) - Hotwells (Hope Chapel)
31st October: Hotwells (Hope Chapel) - Lawrence Weston (Hope Church)
1st November: Lawrence Weston (Hope Church) - Avonmouth (St Andrews Church)
Please share my challenge and, if you can, donate to my foodgalactic emergency.
Thank you, from Luna Lightyear
Message from my parents;
As you can see, our daughter has decided to take on a new challenge to raise some money for the local Foodbank.
This will be Luna’s fifth challenge to support Bristol North West Foodbank; previously, she’s rowed 2,000 metres every day for a month, she did 1,000 jumps a day on a pogo stick for a month, she cycled the distance from Land’s End to John O’Groats on a static bike and swam the distance of the English Channel in a swimming pool.
Luna did question poverty a lot when she was younger, especially children not having the same as her. Her school has always supported Bristol North West Foodbank during Harvest and that’s how she learned about the amazing job they do.
She volunteers at the Foodbank during her school holidays. She enjoys spending time with the other volunteers and helping with anything that needs doing in the warehouse.
Please help our little Space Ranger spread the word far and wide.
Thank you
