We are Sylvie & Julia and we have created Soil Craft CIC, a community interest company.

What we do:

Our mission is to empower communities to reduce food waste, enhance soil health, and promote sustainable practices by educating individuals and organisations about the benefits of composting cooked food waste. Through hands-on learning and outreach, we strive to create a healthier, more sustainable environment by turning food scraps into nutrient-rich soil, fostering environmental awareness, and cultivating a culture of waste reduction for future generations.

What we are raising funds for:

We're excited to announce that we're raising funds for a powerful new laptop that will connect to a microscope and camera, bringing our educational programs to life in new ways! This technology will allow us to take our message to farmers markets, schools, and workshops, where we'll be able to showcase the fascinating world of microbes in compost and soil. By showing the different types of microbes present, we'll be able to inspire and engage people of all ages in the wonders of healthy soil and sustainable practices!
