Food Intentions Juneteenth Run
Hi! My name is Brandon, and I am the founder and owner of Food Intentions. My mission is to support Black owned restaurants and feed underserved communities in Seattle, WA.
Outside of this nonprofit, I have spent a substantial amount of my free time over the past year running. Running has opened an entire new chapter in my life that I have been so invested in because I am able to accomplish feats that I never knew were possible for me at one point in my life. Although I only started taking running seriously about a year ago, it has intertwined harmoniously with my sobriety journey which is coming up on six and a half years. It is amazing what we can accomplish if we just go for something and don't give up.
The goal I have in mind right now that I am so enthralled by is to run 100 miles in one single effort. I want to do this for myself, and I also want to do it to raise money for my nonprofit in order to further support Black owned restaurants and fight hunger. I think Juneteenth (6/19/24) is an appropriate day for this event, because all of the proceeds will go towards Black owned businesses.
I appreciate you all taking the time to read this and consider donating! If you have questions about anything, or if you want to run some of this route with me, please feel free to reach out to me via the contact information on this fundraiser. I will update this page with my route, start time, and any other details that you might find helpful to follow my journey to run 100 miles. Thank you!
