Food for the Soul Weekly Community Meal

Thank you for considering donating to the Food for the Soul Community Feed Project GoFundMe fundraiser!

G. Little Eagle started this project in 2018 with what he called a "Cheeseburger Drive". He would purchase fast food cheeseburgers and hand them out with prayer tobacco to people living on the Billings streets. G's only goal was to connect with people with food and prayer.

The idea was revisited with Rosalyn Bigback to do weekly Friday community feeds as a part of peer support efforts to connect with those living on the streets. Now the goal has expanded to connect them to community recovery resources and support them in their trauma recovery journeys.

As a Missing & Murdered Indigenous Peoples Advocate for our region, vulnerable street populations, especially women and homeless youth, are at the highest risk for becoming a human sex trafficking victim, homicide victim, a missing person, or succumbing to the effects of an addiction.

The Food for the Soul Community Feed Project is one step forward in combating the MMIP Crisis in our region by simply creating a safe space to share a good meal, pray together and discuss healing opportunities.

Donate what you can and please share with your network. Together, one Food for the Soul meal at a time, we can empower the Billings street populations in their recovery journeys while building a more loving city for us all.
