Food Bin Project - Appeal Effort

Neighbors,

We recognize more housing is needed in Santa Cruz, and this project will be built, but we ask you to join us in appealing the Planning Commission's approval of the Food Bin development project in order to gain much needed protections for our neighborhood to the final project. This project is poorly thought out and a poorly thought out project will have negative consequences for the community we love. Please join me and the 1200-block of Laurel/Cleveland neighbors to appeal the planning commission's ruling that the Food Bin project can be built without any needed conditions.

Planned budget:

$2,000 to a local property lawyer to review the appeal application (4 hours)

$762 for the appeal filing fee

Additional land use consultant expenses

Expenses so far:

$2,800 for the land use consultant (in lieu of the lawyer)

$762 for the appeal filing fee

$198 for printing flyers and plans
