Following our father's purpose in life
Donation protected
The prophet (SAW) has taught us that the best of deeds are those that are done consistently, even if they are small.
Our Baba (aka father) has always been a man with a heart full of love for life as well as for people around him. He has always done everything he could to assist people that are underprivileged. Unfortunately, he is not here with us anymore to continue his deeds.
My father has passed away recently as a result of a cardiac arrest, but this is not all that took his life. He has been suffering for many years, and finally couldn’t fight for his life any longer. Baba survived a major bypass in 2013, followed by some minor stents. However, in 2019, his health started deteriorating drastically when he was diagnosed with kidney failure. As he started dialysis, his body became weaker and less resistant. In November 2019, my father had a minor stroke, and in December 2019 he survived a major stroke. The major stroke was followed by a brain hemorrhage that could not be operated on because the area it affected was too large. It was a miracle that he survived and started to recover from the hemorrhage after being sent to rehab. His death came as a shock to all of us because we were hoping that he would yet again fight the odds and come out of it alive. He was on life support for two days when the doctors let us know that he could no longer be medically helped, and it would be easier on his body if he was taken off of life support. It has been an extremely difficult time for my family, but we would now like to focus our energy in fulfilling his wishes that he could not live to see.
Our dad built a madrasa/ orphanage which currently has 20 students enrolled. Few minutes prior to having the cardiac arrest, my father was able to see the first student graduate from the madrasa. He also supported 15-20 families, especially during the month of Ramadan to ensure that they can fast peacefully. We were not aware of these acts done by our father, however, we want to help carry on what he initiated. His unfulfilled wishes included finishing the foundation of the madrasa, building a masjid (mosque) next to the madrasa where the students as well as the people of the village are able to pray in peace, and ensure that the students are able to eat 3 meals a day (they are currently being provided food by the people of the village).
Allah decided it was time for my baba to rest before he could complete his wishes, so as his children, my siblings and I have decided to continue spreading his love along with everyone's help. By the end of this year, we plan on finishing the construction for the madrasa/ orphanage and begin the construction of the masjid. Any help would be greatly appreciated. You can also Zelle, CashApp or Venmo any donation to the phone number 3133271542 if you wish to do so and leave a note saying donation. We would greatly appreciate it if you can share the link with your friends, family and loved ones.
