UPDATE 5/1/2020: Due to the overwhelming response from the community, we have surpassed our original goals and have raised it in order to continue to welcome donations and support more of Ho-Ho-Kus. To date, we have disbursed our initial pledged dollars to The Valley Hospital Foundation by way of Ho-Ho-Kus eating establishment gift cards. and have a major disbursement almost complete to support our incredible essential services.
We are encouraging any families who are facing a financial hardship or an unexpected need to reach out confidentially to Nicolle Zawacki at [email redacted]. Much of our fundraising efforts and the donors' desire to help is fueled by our LOVE of our neighbors. The help is here for you during this very hard time. So many amazing examples of support and love have been shown in the last 8 weeks. This town was incredible before, but it feels that we can come out of this together even better.

YOUR HELP IS NEEDED TO SUPPORT OUR CAREGIVERS & COMMUNITY!
The Contemporary Club of Ho-Ho-Kus [a 501(c)3 charitable organization] has established this Go Fund Me to raise critical donations for the Community Emergency Relief Fund (CERF).
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO ACHIEVE OUR FUNDRAISING GOAL OF $25,000!
The funds raised through this effort will go to the brave front line medical personnel (including those living in our Ho-Ho-Kus community and those who work at our local hospital via the Valley Hospital Foundation) -- as well as Ho-Ho-Kus families in critical need of support. We have also partnered with The Chamber of Ho-Ho-Kus to provide some of this support via gift cards purchased from small businesses with storefronts in the Ho-Ho-Kus community.
Since 2007, The Contemporary Club of Ho-Ho-Kus has used the CERF fund to confidentially support individuals & families who reside in our community and are experiencing financial or health challenges. Assistance has included paying essential bills such as medical, mortgage payments, and other vital items.
During this unprecedented time, we have expanded the fund to also provide local healthcare workers on the front line with support and gestures of goodwill. 15% of the total funds raised will be donated to the Valley Hospital Foundation, with the first $1,500 raised going directly to them to immediately support our front line there. The balance of the fundraising efforts will be disbursed into the community, including our first responders.

NOTE ABOUT VALLEY HOSPITAL FOUNDATION
We have been in contact with the Valley Hospital Foundation, and while food donations are appreciated, this allows us to make the donations in the form of gift cards to local Ho-Ho-Kus restaurants, or cash donations to directly support their purchase of needed medical protective gear/supplies, etc. They are trying to use this format with other towns/organizations as it greatly simplifies their utilization of these generous gifts due to scheduling and food preparation restrictions.
