Rebuilding after a House Fire

Hi, My name is Bianca Julien. I am a homeschooling mother of 4 children and we are rebuilding after a House Fire.

A little bit about us- I am a Licensed Massage Therapist in both RI & MA. I recently started my professional practice and currently do massage at Tides Family Services as part of their Wellness Team, Brown University's Track & Field team and at Haven; a holistic spa in Hopkinton, MA. Before becoming a massage therapist, I self-published 4 poetry books called the Lost In My Thoughts series as well as helped my children publish their first poetry book and children's book. I have been homeschooling all my children for the past 9 years in between both MA & RI. Over those 9 years, we collected and used several textbooks, workbooks, flashcards, and ton of school supplies.

My children - Jalene (14), Aliya (12), King-Lewis (8), And Brianna (6). All the children are homeschooled and they all do karate. Jalene & Aliya are Junior Black Belts, King is a Red Belt and Brianna is a Dragon Green Belt. I myself recently got my 1st Degree Black Belt in Krav Maga. The children wrote their children's book - The Fantastic Four: The Cooking Disaster available on Amazon.

What Happened- On December 7th, 2023, we came home normally from their karate classes. We sat in the car to order food for dinner and thats when Jalene heard the fire alarms going off. I went to open the front door and nothing but dark smoke came out. The fire started in the kitchen, at the stove. It was determined that nothing was able to be saved so we lost our home and all our belongings.

Fortunately no one was hurt, including our dog. Insurance and the Red Cross have been very helpful with getting us housing and some assistance. We have had family & friends help us as well which we are grateful for. We have been asked to start this fund so that even more people can help out.

Any little bit helps; the funds go directly to buying essential items for the home such as pots, pans, plates, sheets, towels, food, clothing, toiletries, shoes, boots, homeschool items (pencils, notebooks, workbooks, sharpener, printer, laminator), electronics, books, but also to re-buy certain tools I lost for my massage business( massage chair, tables, utility cart, lotion, sheets, towels).
