I need help with lawyer expenses

Hello, most call me Buddy and I am an amateur herpetologist, arachnologist, photographer, and apparently am decent at electronics. I have been going through a really rough and drawn out divorce for the last 3 years. I obviously can't get into details, but I can say I have had full custody of all 4 children for almost 2 years while our case slowly works its way through the courts. Me, THE FATHER, has full custody. Courts don't lightly give the father full custody. There's very good reason I have them and I fear what could happen if I don't have legal representation. I've never received child support of any sort and have been drowning financially, absolutely prioritizing the well being of my family over paying my lawyer. Well, lawyers don't like that very much, and now that the final trial is starting to kick off, my lawyer is threatening to drop me as a client. Once I get child support, I will be able to pay for the lawyer on my own, but that won't be until the trial is over. Until then, I'm hoping to get just enough to keep my lawyer going. This is my children's home, their school, friends, family, are all here.
