International Scout Centre Trip 2026: Kandersteg

Matthew is raising money to contribute towards his scout group's trip to Kandersteg International Scout Centre, Switzerland in 2026.

He’s going as part of a group of 50 Holmes Chapel scouts to camp in the Swiss Alps with other scouts from all over the world. It will be a once in a lifetime experience and an opportunity to make friends and meet people from all over the world.

Holmes Chapel scout hut is a 1,622 mile round trip to the Kandersteg International Scout Centre. The scouts have been challenged to travel this distance on foot over the summer – a total of 32 miles each.

To add to the challenge, Matthew will be making sure to cover the 1,139m elevation gain between the locations as well.
