FM Police Officer Tyler Williams Fund

This GoFundMe page is set up to help support Fort Myers Police Officer Tyler Williams and his family after he was faced with a felony arrest from his own agency, the Fort Myers Police Department. Officer Williams conducted a traffic stop in January of 2020 that involved two adults in a vehicle along with a 3 year old child that was restrained and asleep in a car seat, despite that the news is reporting otherwise. Narcotics were found in the vehicle, however, probable cause for arrest did not exist, along with no apparent signs of abuse or neglect to the child at the time. 1 month later, in February 2020, the same vehicle and occupants were in a crash that ultimately killed the child who was not in any type of child restraint at the time of the accident. Officer Williams is being scrutinized, bashed, has had his dignity and character diminished and life torn apart for something that was completely out of his hands. The charge held against him is for failure to contact DCF. We are confident that the facts will come to light and he will be found innocent as we believe him to be. We wanted to create this GoFundMe so that anyone who would like to show support can do so by donating since he is currently on unpaid leave. Let's show support for Officer Williams and his family, especially with everything going on in this world today. He is one of the many good officers who does his job from his heart and goes above and beyond for everyone.
