Hey, it’s Teresa and Flynn.

Flynn is 14, a keen Rugby player and plays for the school team as well as Cheltenham Tigers. He also enjoys playing golf and is currently having lessons to improve.

Flynn has been in the Scouting movement for 8 years and he’s doing his Young Leader training. He volunteers at Panthers Cub Unit every Tuesday, and is a member of the 1st Woodmancote Scout Group, and we are going on a lifetime opportunity to Kandersteg International Scout Centre in Switzerland in February 2027, myself as a leader and Flynn a young leader.

I’ve had similar experiences through my 44 years of Girlguiding, in my teenager years I was lucky enough to go to both Austria and Germany with them. These trips still hold fond memories for me.

For us both to have this opportunity to be able to go on this trip together is something we are both very excited about.

We thought we would start by virtually walking 47.5 miles a month which will take us to January 2027 and the total distance of 760 miles, which is the distance from Cheltenham to Kandersteg International Scout Centre.
