Fly tipping fine

Hello everyone, we are Farhana and Gladis. In the Shrublands estate, the area in which we live in there was a general understanding that residents of the estate are allowed to put out large items of household waste and recycling for collecting by Veolia on Wednesdays.

We had left our big cardboard boxes  which did not fit in the communal recycling bin and we thought that we were allowed to do deposit them as we did, next to bigger items such as bed frames and chairs.

The pandemic has changed our lives and we are a part time worker who has to pay rent, council tax and petrol and a nursing student who has to pay for transportation and school equipment, it was never our intention to fly tip and we are very sorry. We have explained our point of view and situation to the council but they have unfortunately proceeded with the fine.

Thank you to everyone that is willing and able to help us out❤️.
