Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes are taking on a musical mountain challenge! ️ Our fearless alto flautists, Stewart and Dom, will be scaling the majestic Five Sisters of Kintail on Saturday, September 21st.

With five summits including three Munros (Sgùrr na Ciste Duibhe, Sgùrr na Càrnach and Sgùrr Fhuaran), Stewart and Dom will be climbing high to raise funds for brand new alto flutes.

Carluke Primrose Orchestral Flutes are an award-winning amateur community flute orchestra from Carluke in South Lanarkshire. With a full range of eight different types of flute – from piccolo down to subcontrabass in G – we play more instruments than you might think in order to achieve the most orchestral sound possible.

The majority of our players play on instruments belonging to the orchestra, some of which are getting pretty old now and need to be replaced. Following from our successful replacement of our bass flutes last year, it's now the turn of our alto flutes.
