Bouquets for the broken

Donation protected

This year, our story at Shady Blooms Flower and Seed changed forever. In January, my wife was diagnosed with stage 3 lobular breast cancer. Having to rearrange our entire lives, I would say, was the easiest part. But becoming a stay-at-home father to take care of our 3 children, take them to school, pick them up, take them to practice, cleanings, dinners, play dates, etc., was just the beginning.

We also have a small farm with 26 goats, 15 kunekunes, 60 chickens, 13 ducks, and a lone emu alongside our flower farm. It was about February when 15 boxes of starters showed up on the front porch. Not too unusual, but we had planned on ramping up this year for the farmers market. The bouquets we normally do always sold out, so we needed to increase the production for this season. However, in light of what is going on with our home, I had a new direction I would like to take with our flowers moving forward.

Having cancer affect our family like it has so many other families, my goal is to deliver bouquets to those in need and are suffering to bring a little smile from our family to others in need. Our goal is to give bouquets to anyone and everyone in their time of need to bring light and a smile in their time of need.

For every 20$ raised a bouquet is made. Putting smiles on someone face does make a difference, and thanks to your help. Together we can help people in need to find a small ray of hope.

From the bottom of our hearts we just wanted to say thank you.
