Over the past several years, my company, HALCYON GARDENS, has been planting and enhancing the Linkside/Walmington Fold roundabout (N12). We've planted spring bulbs such as crocuses, daffodils, tete-a-tetes and bluebells, as well as wildflower seeds like verbascum, hollyhocks, and foxgloves. Unfortunately, some efforts were undone when some unaware Council contractors sprayed and killed the summer perennial plants. This year, I've expanded the spring bulb planting to the green verges along Walmington Fold and outside Vero Caffe.
This project has transformed our neighbourhood into a more uplifting and beautiful area, especially springtime! Many neighbours have expressed their appreciation and support, which has been incredibly encouraging. So far, we've self-funded the project with a few kind donations from neighbors. We have supplied all the materials and provided all the labor ourselves.
