Flour raising for the local food bank
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Grace and I am an avid baker. I discovered my passion for sourdough in 2021 and I’ve been hooked! I baked for friends and family and have run out of people to give bread to!
I was researching about donations and places that will take donations, and after reaching out to a few places, I actually stumbled upon the St Paul on the Hill Community Bank . And they have a program where they take fresh goods such as bread, to be added as part of their donation program in their food bank.
And this is where I come in, I bake. I bake lots of bread and I’m able to donate my bread and my time to the St. Paul on the Hill community bank. Today, I am asking for your help to let me continue baking for the food bank. I need help with the supplies.
Previously, I received flour from Amazon, it was convenient, but the cost of flour vs. what can be purchased with the donations together was a waste of money. Doing the gofundme will allow me to buy better flour at a better price.
To date:
We have received 400 lbs of flour
I have baked 300 lbs of flour
I have donated to at least 272 family/community members
I have baked at least 272 loaves of bread!
So really, this is a selfish act, I get to satisfy my bread-making habit but you can help by donating $1, $2, $5 that will help toward buying bulk flour and other supplies.
So if you can, please donate, if you want to help further, please share the gofundme!
Love and Bread!
