New Skatepark for Florence, SC

FloSk8 is a community organization comprised of skaters that has partnered with the City of Florence, SC, to provide the community with a modern, concrete skate park. The existing park is dilapidated and, quite frankly, dangerous for the significant local skate community. The city has earmarked at least $150,000 in public funds for the project. However, the budget needed is $200,000. A new skate park would provide a safe place for the kids to enjoy non-traditional sports,  improve the aesthetic of McLeod Park, and positively impact the local economy through sports tourism. All funds received by FloSk8 will be given to the Florence City Parks Department and used only for the purposes of building a new skate park.

The existing $150,000 will be rolled into next fiscal year, beginning in June, but cannot be carried over again. That gives our team a little over a year to break ground. We are targeting Spetember 2019 to raise the final $50,000 to provide time for the bidding process and construction within a year. We can do this!

Any contribution, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your support.
