Friend of Ring 22 (Detroit Magic Club), Jim Chartier, has LOST EVERYTHING…

100% of the funds raised will go directly to Jim. The Detroit Magic Club has set up this fundraiser on his behalf to help our friend come back from total disaster.

Jim is a quality individual who has been a professional magician his entire life – a full-time performer successfully entertaining audiences of all ages in the Florida area. Frequently invited to share his magic at school assemblies, public library special events, and countless family outings, Jim is a class act in every way, always thrilling everyone with his unique gift for magic.

Unfortunately, with the recent Florida Hurricane IAN, life as he knew it has abruptly ended. Jim and his wife (who is currently suffering from CMT, a muscular atrophy disease) have lost everything.

The Chartier home (including household furnishings) is severely damaged and is now unlivable. His precious magic props, tricks, and necessary performance items, not to mention a substantial portion of his priceless 800+ magic book collection - literally everything he valued and formerly owned - are now gone.

Insurance is slow to provide badly needed help at this time, and overnight his source of income has ended - all of his booked magic engagements have been canceled, and many (if not all) of his usual places to perform magic professionally no longer exist.

He and his wife are suddenly and unfortunately living on a “day to day” basis and now must overcome the tremendous and painful hurdles that nature has thrown their way.
