Florence Marathon

Hello everyone! We are a group of six ‘runners’ - Liam, Beth, Matthew, Alex, Dan, and Chris - who are participating in the Florence Marathon on November 26th, 2023.

We are running to raise funds for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, which provides life-changing equipment, support services, and research to ensure that every baby, child, and young person treated at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital receives the extra special care they deserve.

We are passionate about this cause and have set a fundraising goal of £2,000. We believe that every little bit counts, and we would be grateful for any contribution you can make to help us reach our goal.

Why we are running:
We are running for the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity because we believe that every child deserves the best possible care, and we want to do our part to make that happen. We have all been touched by the work that the hospital does, and we are excited to be able to give back in this way.

How the funds will be used:
All funds raised will go directly to the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. The hospital relies on donations to fund life-changing equipment, support services, and research, and every penny counts. Your donation will help to ensure that every child who comes through the doors of the hospital receives the best possible care.

About the Florence Marathon:
The course takes runners through the historic streets of the city, past landmarks such as the Ponte Vecchio and the Duomo, and along the banks of the Arno River. It is a challenging but rewarding race, and we are excited to be taking part. Followed by several pints of Super Tennents and Tiramisu.

About us:
We are a group of friends from University who all of a sudden share a passion for running. We are excited to be taking on this challenge together and to be raising funds for such an important cause.

Thank you for your support!
