Flora, 1kg di amore

Flora è stata trovata nei boschi.

È arrivata a casa mia con una terapia ben precisa, si pensava ad un semplice raffreddore ma in realtà c'era molto di più.

Dopo settimane di controlli e terapie, ancora nessuna risposta.

Poi, l'altra sera, il crollo. Abbiamo ricoverato Flora perché visibilmente affaticata, e per fortuna l'abbiamo fatto.

Disidratata, con un'infezione in corso (quando fino alla settimana prima le analisi erano perfette) e con un eccesso di anidride carbonica nel sangue.

Stava lentamente soffocando.

Flora stava facendo terapia contro gli strongili, ma questo ricovero ci permetterà di aiutarla a 360°... Io e la volontaria che si è presa in carico la piccina abbiamo bisogno di una manina.

La clinica che la sta ospitando ci ha già fatto un preventivo (lo condivido nei commenti), e purtroppo è tanto alto perché c'è bisogno di indagare cosa va e cosa non va.

Per ora, sta rispondendo alle terapie! Ha ripreso a respirare a bocca chiusa e si pulisce da sola. È reattiva. Perciò possiamo ben sperare che ci saranno solo progressi.

Come ho già detto: donando in questa raccolta non aiutate me. Non aiutate una persona.

Aiutate una piccola anima che non ha fatto nulla di male, la aiutate ad affrontare un male grandissimo per lei, che è così piccola.

Flora was found in the woods.

She came to my home with a precise treatment plan, at first we thought it was just a simple cold, but there was so much more.

After weeks of check-ups and therapies, still no answers.

Then, the other night, the collapse. We had to hospitalize Flora because she was visibly exhausted, and thank goodness we did.

She was dehydrated, fighting an infection (when only a week before her blood tests had been perfect), and with an excess of carbon dioxide in her blood.

She was slowly suffocating.

Flora was undergoing treatment against strongyles, but this hospitalization will allow us to help her fully, from every angle. Me and the volunteer who took charge of this little one really need a helping hand.

The clinic taking care of her has already given us an estimate (I will share it in the comments), and unfortunately it is very high because they need to investigate what is working and what is not.

For now, she is responding to therapy. She is breathing with her mouth closed again, she is cleaning herself, she is alert. So we can hope there will only be progress.

As I said before: donating to this fundraiser does not mean helping me. You are not helping a person.

You are helping a little soul who did nothing wrong, who is now facing something huge and terrifying for her, because she is so small.
